POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements for enhancement of safety quality cost reduction and throughput. This position will identify prepare justifications and coordinate the design and development of new processes systems and equipment both automated and non-automated. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of manufacturing to provide effective support and troubleshooting.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Identify plan implement and monitor the use of technology to improve streamline and automate manufacturing processes. This includes working with external resources and/or vendors to successfully implement and maintain.
Develop automated and non-automated manufacturing processes by studying product requirements researching designing modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
Communicate recommendations for changes prepare cost justifications and coordinate the design and development of new processes systems equipment or materials.
Utilize process mapping and value stream analysis tools to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow space requirements and equipment layout. Conduct and analyze time and motion studies to ensure optimal part/product flow.
Lead manufacturing projects to ensure timeline cost and outcome expectations are met.
Provide support to product design engineering and production during design development and implementation of new and improved products. Assist with troubleshooting or problem-solving activities.
Design and develop fixtures and tooling related to the enhancement of manufactured processes product changes and new products that are consistent with a zero-defect level and low product cost.
Lead and train others in utilizing lean manufacturing tools to deliver results.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering is required.
4 years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
2D and/or 3D CAD experience is required (preferably in AutoCAD and SolidWorks).
ERP or other manufacturing software experience is preferred.
CNC PLC Robotic programming experience is preferred.

Travel
Occasional travel may be required.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is subject to medium work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions
The worker is subject to an office environment along with inside production environment including noise vibration and other hazards from a production-based environment.
