About the role:
As a member of Momentum Energys C&I Pricing Team this role will deliver timely accurate and strategic Commercial & Industrial pricing for Commercial & Industrial products and services including performing competitive and financial this role you will guide and review customer acquisition and renewal activities and perform actions to improve financial performance.
What it looks like:
- Provide timely and accurate Commercial & Industrial pricing in the energy retail sector ensuring the optimum mix of customer numbers contracted energy load and profitability.
- Conducting periodic pricing refresh for retention and acquisition opportunities assisting in benchmark pricing bid/tender analysis whilst providing tactical price recommendations to ensure the pricing structure meets stakeholder and customer expectations and aligns to the corporations strategy.
- Formulate complex pricing for large customers e.g. special/custom pricing Blend and Extends (B&Es) Progressive Energy Pricing (PEP) Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) Managed Energy Solutions (MES) Virtual Power Plant (VPP) etc.
- Ensure Commercial & Industrial contract pricing is approved and reviewed in line with the Corporations delegated authority framework.
- Ensure with the Product owner that Commercial & Industrial contracts and margins are reflective of Corporations risk appetite internal policies and legal regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Influence margin guidelines as to ensure achievable results balancing corporation and customer needs;
- Manage the demands of stakeholders within tight and changing timeframes;
About you and your experience:
A demonstrated understanding of the energy industry will be an advantage as will any experience in the C&I space.
- Significant pricing experience in competitive consumer retail markets such as energy financial services insurance telecommunications or airlines.
- Excellent analytical and numeracy capability with strong modelling expertise.
- Strong understanding of energy or other relevant commodity markets.
- Advanced experience with tools such as Excel or similar pricing tools.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant energy industry legislation policies and systems and the ability to apply them to the corporations working environment.
- Expertise with data access and manipulation tools and techniques (e.g. SQL).
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills including active listening negotiation and influencing facilitation of meetings and workshops and customer relationship management.
