Job Description: Classroom Teacher

Main Purpose of Job

  • To plan deliver and assess high-quality teaching in an inclusive and positive environment
  • To demonstrate effective classroom management which nurtures all pupils and strengthens social emotional and mental health (SEMH)
  • Main Responsibilities
  • Plan prepare and deliver highly effective lessons across the curriculum
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils including those with SEND
  • Assess record and report on pupils progress and development
  • Create and maintain a safe positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote positive relationships.
  • Communicate regularly with parents carers and colleagues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen learning experiences
  • Participate in evidence-based professional development opportunities
  • Promote a love of learning and encourage curiosity and creativity
