A large well-organised secondary school in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint an experienced Exams Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of the schools examinations process from January 2026.
The Role
Youll be responsible for coordinating entries timetables invigilation and results for internal and external exams (GCSE A-Level vocational qualifications). Working closely with SLT teaching staff and exam boards youll ensure smooth and compliant exam administration throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing entries results and communications with awarding bodies.
- Preparing exam timetables and allocating rooms/invigilators.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with JCQ and exam board regulations.
- Overseeing results day ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Supporting data analysis and reporting for performance reviews.
About You
- Previous experience in exam administration (school or college setting).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of SIMS or similar MIS software.
