Job Summary
Position - Cabling Technician
Locations - Pune-PCMC
Employment Type: Full-Time
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Install pull and route various low-voltage cables (CAT5e CAT6/A Fiber Optic Coaxial) in commercial data center and office environments.
- Accurately terminate copper cabling at wall plates patch panels and jacks following TIA/EIA standards (T-568A/B).
- Perform termination splicing (fusion/mechanical) and testing of fibre optic cables.
- Conduct rigorous testing and certification of installed structured cabling using industry-standard equipment (e.g Fluke testers).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot cable issues including shorts open circuits and faulty terminations.
- Maintain accurate cable mapping labelling as-built drawings and test result documentation.
- Ensure all installations comply with NEC TIA/EIA and local building codes.
- Experience in mounting and deploying various distribution components and equipment (IDF/MDF).
- Decent verbal communication skills.
