We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN to join our team in Albany GA. This position requires flexibility and strong clinical expertise as the RN will float between multiple acute care units including med-surg cardiology and the emergency center for patient holds. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and patient-centered care.}

_{Key Responsibilities:}

_{Provide direct nursing care across Medical-Surgical and Cardiac units including the Emergency Center for acute care patient holds.}
_{Administer medications perform assessments monitor vital signs and manage patient conditions.}
_{Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination.}
_{Perform PIV insertions and manage care for patients with Sickle Cell Disease.}
_{Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized patient care plans.}
_{Float to various units based on hospital needs (mid-shift floating only in emergent situations).}
_{Maintain a safe nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 while delivering high-quality care.}
_{Work every other weekend and commit to 2 out of 3 major holidays.}
_{Adhere to all hospital policies protocols and standards of practice.}

_{Qualifications & Requirements:}

_Education:

_{Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required}
_{Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred}
_{Licensure & Certifications (Must be submitted with application):}
_{Active Georgia RN License or Compact RN License Required}
_{AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required}
_{AHA NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Required}
_{AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Highly Preferred}

_Experience:

_{Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical setting Required}
_{Previous travel RN experience Preferred}
_{Proven experience with Sickle Cell Disease care and PIV insertions Required}
