Job Title: Russian Nurse Instructor
Location: Brooklyn NY
Rate: $47 $49/hour (W2)
Duration: 3 Months (with potential for extension)
Shift Timing: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM EST (35 hours/week)
The Russian Nurse Instructor will lead training in-service education and competency evaluations for Home Care paraprofessionals (HHAs and PCAs) ensuring compliance with all Federal State City and Local regulations as well as agency policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver classroom and lab-based training programs in compliance with NYS Department of Health standards.
Develop teaching outlines and instructional methods including lectures demonstrations group training and multimedia tools.
Conduct orientation refresher courses and ongoing development programs for HHAs and PCAs.
Evaluate trainee competencies through skills assessments and standardized testing.
Ensure clinical competence and regulatory compliance of paraprofessional staff.
Prepare educational curriculum in collaboration with the Education Manager.
Provide documentation and progress reports; maintain accurate and timely records.
Assist with agency-wide in-service training programs.
Supervise training staff if applicable.
Support organizational compliance by completing all required trainings (e.g. HIPAA OSHA IT Security Sexual Harassment).
Maintain professional conduct and appearance in accordance with agency standards.
Perform administrative tasks and reporting using Microsoft Office tools.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration in New York State.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of home care experience (CHHA or LHCSA).
Experience supervising/training HHAs and PCAs in any healthcare setting.
Proven experience delivering HHA/PCATP training or in-service education.
Knowledge of care transition planning for home health settings.
Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to deliver instruction to diverse learner groups in English and Russian.
Bilingual: Fluent in English and Russian.
Must be approved by the NY Department of Health to teach HHA/PCA programs.
Comfortable with both teaching and administrative duties.
Willing and able to commute locally via public transportation.
Valid drivers license and insurance (if applicable).
