_{Key Responsibilities:}

_{Patient Assessment & Monitoring:}

_{Conduct thorough assessments of post-operative patients across all age groups (pediatric to geriatric).}
_{Monitor vital signs airway status level of consciousness and pain control continuously.}

_{Clinical Care Delivery:}

_{Provide critical post-anesthesia care including airway management hemodynamic monitoring and pain intervention.}
_{Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.}

_{Patient & Family Support:}

_{Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families.}
_{Educate patients on post-operative care expectations and discharge instructions.}

_{Documentation & Compliance:}

_{Document assessments care plans interventions and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.}
_{Comply with HIPAA patient safety protocols and regulatory standards.}

_{Team Collaboration:}

_{Work collaboratively with the surgical and recovery teams to ensure seamless patient care.}
_{Support unit operations and assist colleagues as needed.}

_{Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Support (if applicable):}

_{Review and verify pre-operative testing for completeness and appropriateness.}
_{Address missing or questionable test results proactively.}

_{Professional Development:}

_{Remain engaged in continuing education and skill enhancement.}
_{Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice in the PACU.}

_{Qualifications:}

_{Licensure: Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state - Required}
_{Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in PACU or Critical Care - Required}
_{Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS - Required; CCRN or CPAN - Preferred}
_{Education: Associate degree in Nursing - Required; BSN - Preferred}
