Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Culver City CA (5x/week Onsite)

Duration: 10 Months

Trilyon is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide Agile development teams through the full lifecycle of delivery ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices. The Scrum Master will facilitate Scrum ceremonies coach teams on Agile values remove impediments and promote an environment of transparency collaboration and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Conduct all key Scrum events - Sprint Planning Daily Stand-ups Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives - ensuring they remain productive time-boxed and outcome-focused.

• Coach Agile Principles: Mentor team members Product Owners and stakeholders in applying Agile values and Scrum best practices to optimize performance and value delivery.

• Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate blockers that may hinder the teams progress escalating issues when necessary to maintain sprint momentum.

• Foster Continuous Improvement: Lead effective retrospectives to drive process improvements encourage innovation and cultivate a growth mindset within the team.

• Protect the Team: Shield team members from external distractions shifting priorities and scope creep enabling them to focus on delivering the Sprint Goal.

• Promote Collaboration: Build trust and collaboration across teams ensuring strong alignment between the development team Product Owner and stakeholders.

• Ensure Transparency: Maintain clear communication on sprint progress risks and achievements through metrics dashboards and Agile tools (e.g. Jira Azure DevOps).

• Measure and Improve Team Performance: Use velocity tracking burndown charts and other Agile metrics to help teams assess and improve productivity over time.

• Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Support backlog refinement and planning sessions ensuring requirements are well-defined and achievable within sprints.

• Champion Agile Culture: Serve as an advocate for Agile principles across the organization and encourage continuous learning and adaptation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.

• Strong understanding of Scrum Kanban and Agile frameworks.

• Proven ability to coach teams and lead by example fostering an environment of trust and accountability.

• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira Confluence or Azure DevOps.

• Excellent communication facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.

• Ability to remove obstacles drive alignment and enable high-performing teams.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.

The Scrum Master will play a critical role in driving Agile maturity within teams ensuring effective sprint execution and empowering individuals to deliver their best work. As a Scrum Master at Trilyon you will serve as a servant-leader continuously improving delivery efficiency and strengthening collaboration across the organization. The Scrum Master will also support the Product Owner in backlog prioritization and maintain a focus on delivering customer value.
