Summary:
-
Fabricates and assembles aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.
-
The role involves working under general supervision to ensure high-quality craftsmanship safety and productivity while assisting with process improvements.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED.
-
Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes tools and materials.
-
2 years of cabinetmaking experience.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
-
Proficient in using stationary and hand-held power tools.
-
Physically able to climb ladders work in restricted areas lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.
-
Computer literacy and experience with material tracking systems.

Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Desired Skills:

Experience in the aerospace industry.

Familiarity with inspection and process specifications.
-
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement techniques.

Experience applying surface materials such as laminates and veneers.
