COLLISION REPAIR PLANNER Located at our brand new Nimnicht Collision Center facility on Blanding Blvd. Summary Assess vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim or customer pay settlement.
Essential Duties - Examines damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural body mechanical electrical or interior damage.
- Determines cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Reviews blueprint with technicians Foreman and parts department.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts such as bumpers fenders and doors etc.
- Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair procedures cost estimates and recommendations.
- Uses OEM data and procedures to develop repair plan.
Marginal Duties Assists other team departments to ensure the job is flowing through the repair facility.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years collision repair industry experience preferred
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as OEM procedures.
- Ability to write damage blueprints to company guidelines
Certificates Licenses Registrations - ASE and I-CAR
- Damage Analysis and Estimating Certification for Collision Repair
- Mechanical and Electrical Components Certification for Collision Repair
- Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair Certification for Collision Repair
- Painting and Refinishing Certification for Collision Repair
- Structural Analysis and Damage Repair Certification for Collision Repair
- Understanding Collision Repair
- Workplace Hazardous Materials
