Job Overview
Marvin Roanoke is looking for 2nd Shift Cell Leaders to join the team.
The principal function of this position is to maintain consistent production workflow required (2-minute TAKT time of production). This process involves training and mentoring new production associates work requirements within the cell according to the SOP coordinating material needed to maintain cell workflow and timely completion of work within the cell.
Highlights of your role
- Promote Safe Work Practices for production associates to include housekeeping.
- Follow Standard Work Processes for cell leader.
- Maintain work cell production flow to support 2-minute TAKT time of Production.
- Promote teamwork with peer cell leaders to promote and support the Marvin Company Values.
- Assist in coordinating material necessary to meet the production schedules for Department.
- Coordinate with Department Leadership to ensure completion of production schedules and needed deliveries.
- Provide continual communication updates to the Assistant Supervisor and/or Supervisor production materials or process issues that prohibit 2-minute TAKT time.
- Provide shift communication to necessary departments as to status of all departmental customer orders and shipping dispositions.
- Assist production as priorities dictate to meet shift production goals.
- Additional duties as assigned by Assistant Supervisor and/or Department Supervisor
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process by generating ideas to improve Standard Work Procedures
Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- Fundamental working knowledge of ICIM computer programs (required).
- Strong product knowledge of production line equipment tools work cells and operating process of the department.
- Understanding of department layout and material needed for production functions inside the department.
- Ability to make spontaneous decisions regarding material warehouse locations and the coordinating the least production time required to complete customer orders.
