This full-time on-site position is located in Meadowbrook and presents a unique opportunity for entry-level professionals to join a leading staffing and recruiting firm dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare talent.
As a Medical Oncologist you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients by identifying and recruiting top-notch medical professionals in the oncology field. This role offers the chance to work closely with healthcare facilities understanding their specific needs and helping them build high-performing teams that deliver outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit qualified candidates for medical oncology positions
- Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates qualifications and fit
- Collaborate with healthcare clients to understand their staffing needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with medical professionals and institutions
- Participate in career fairs and networking events to promote open positions
- Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in oncology
- Assist in the development of recruitment strategies and initiatives
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Entry-level experience in medical oncology or related field
- Strong understanding of oncology practices and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools
- Passion for helping others and improving healthcare staffing solutions
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Call Requirement: 8-10 weeks per year by phone
Setting: 80% outpatient 20% inpatient
State-of-the-art equipment including a linear accelerator
Infusion center with 9 chairs and 2 beds
Cases: 50% breast cancer but will see everything
Support Staff: 3 oncology nurse navigators 2 clinical nurses 2 MAs and 1 NP in the infusion center
Breast lung GYN GI hematology neck/prostate/lymphoma multidisciplinary teams
Can join breast lung or general tumor boards
Must be board-certified
