As a Locum Anesthesiologist Assistant you will be responsible for providing anesthesia care under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. You will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia care
- Monitor patients vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
- Ensure compliance with safety and medical protocols
- Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated
- Contribute to a positive team environment and patient experience
Requirements
- Associates degree in Anesthesia or related field
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
- Experience in a clinical anesthesia setting
- Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety protocols
Schedule: 8-hour shifts 2 weeks per month
Anesthetizing Sites: 12 at main hospital 4 at one surgery center and 1-2 at second surgery center
General case types no OB or CV
1:4 medical supervision
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
