Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) is defined as a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach the RN provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional the RN is responsible for providing team leadership and maintaining professional development.
Core Duties:
- Assess patients physical psychosocial and cultural needs considering diagnosis age care setting desire for care and response to care plan
- Plan care collaborating with other members of the healthcare team
- Deliver competent care as required by patient plan of care and care setting
- Evaluate patients responses to care
- Provide interactive patient and family education
- Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Document according to policy/procedure standards and guidelines
- Participate in improving organizational performance
Job Requirements
Required qualifications
- 1 (one) year experience as a PACU RN acute care surgical service setting (when staffing is experienced enough to support a trainee applicants without the requisite experience may be considered).
- Current California RN license
- BLS ACLS and PALS certified through a recognized American Heart Association training center.
- Must be able to read speak and write English in order to perform the duties of the position
