Job Summary:

The VP Shared Services is a critical role within the Invited Accounting team focused on providing vision direction and leadership to the Accounting Shared Services organization. They will assess refine and lead the execution of best-in-class business processes that are reliable robust and systematic delivering positive outcomes which promote business continuity and operational excellence. They will have a consistent focus on providing thought leadership while driving technical solutions implementation and process improvement initiatives across the Accounting organization. Additionally they will be a key leader which will shape the future of the Shared Services and greater Accounting organization which includes evaluation of the scope of the Shared Services team to align it with industry best practices. Given the crucial role Shared Services plays in supporting Inviteds operations this position will be a key source of collaboration service and innovation to support business operations and objectives.

Day-to-Day:

  • Develop lead and monitor centers of excellence for the Accounting organization which includes accounts receivable and member billing accounts payable (club and corporate) escheatment compliance and future areas of responsibility.
  • Evaluate current organization and provide a roadmap that details the ideal future Shared Services function which includes integration of additional functional areas and expertise in line with industry best practices. Subsequently work with Accounting team leadership to execute this vision.
  • Strong leadership/mentorship of team consistently focused on training and development.
  • Collaborate with Operations Finance and other Invited teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the Companys strategic goals and operational objectives; continually lead and support ongoing projects and initiatives to achieve these goals.
  • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset focused on leveraging all available tools and technology to encourage greater speed of execution efficiency of operations and improved analysis. Continually identify opportunities to streamline processes and to improve service quality.
  • Establish monitor and report on performance to agreed-upon service levels with organizational stakeholders. Establish tools and dashboards utilizing key performance indicators to monitor and manage team performance against relevant metrics to achieve and maintain these service levels.
  • Actively engage in developing the teams professional competencies to promote awareness of developments to accounting regulations and standards process improvement tools and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a project tracker for Shared Services and the greater Accounting organization to assist in establishing ranking and prioritizing projects that lead to productivity improvements and enhanced controls.

About You:

A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in a shared services or controllership environment focused on high volume transactions close processes and controls. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field; advanced degree in the field is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems preferably Oracle GL Oracle AP and Hyperion platforms
  • Track record of experience working with technology and tools to innovate and modernize systems and processes (i.e. Microsoft Power BI Tableau etc.)
  • Ability and enthusiasm to organize and manage multifaceted projects across various information systems processes and departments
  • Ability to appropriately delegate project tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor project progress against established schedules and timelines
  • A bias for action; aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Possession of intellectual curiosity and a desire for continuous innovation with a solutions-first analytical innovative critical thinking mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the team as well as across the organization with a highly collaborative mindset
  • A high degree of integrity and accountability
  • A collaborator with a relentless focus on service to both internal and external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex processes and initiatives with all levels and teams throughout the organization
  • Highly organized and able to successfully prioritize multiple initiatives
  • Initiative-taking and results-driven
  • Experience in a complex de-centralized transactions environment preferably with a multi-unit/multi-location setup
  • Active CPA or relevant professional certifications in accounting/project management preferred
