Basic Job Functions:

Ensure a safe working environment is maintained and consistently demonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety practices.
Consistently promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the KBS team to proactively prevent quality issues.
Answer calls from jobsites and collect required information to verify claims.
Take complete ownership of investigations and backcharge negotiations for builders.
Maintain regular communication with erectors customers and teammates to address field-related issues.
Collaborate with other departments to address field issues and implement process improvements.
Examine internal documents to investigate record and report all service and product performance issues.
Provide customers with consistent accurate professional resolutions.
Identify the underlying causes of quality issues assign appropriate investigations and oversee implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Identify and assess emerging and trending quality concerns and provide recommendations to the Quality Service Supervisor; if appropriate communicate proposed solutions to relevant Commercial Services Teammates for implementation throughout NBG.
Proactively offer backup support to other Quality Service Representatives when needed.
Provide assistance and backup support for Component Sales and Project Coordinators as the situation requires.
Make occasional trips to jobsites for troubleshooting and extensive claim investigations.
Participate in and lead department and/or division quality meetings.
Perform other tasks as directed by the Quality Service Supervisor and Sales Service Manager.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Background in computer use with skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Background in blueprint reading and interpretation.
At least two years experience in metal building construction detailing and/or customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with erection fabrication customer service and/or detailing of PEMB systems.
Technical associate degree or bachelors degree in business construction or related fields.
