As an intern youll be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of one of our six investment domains contributing to real projects that make an impact.

Fundamental Equity Investingis where it all started for Robeco. Its arguably the purest form of investing: finding the most attractive companies to invest in. We base our investment decisions on in-depth fundamental research into businesses sectors macroeconomics and trends. We offer opportunities across Thematic and Emerging Markets equities.
Fixed Income Investingis where complexity meets creativity. The Fixed Income team invests in government- and company-issued debt across a wide variety of sectors countries and ratings. We offer opportunitiesacross the Global Macro and Fundamental Credits teams.
Quantitative Researchis in Robecos DNA. We make our investment decisions based on hidden relationships in our data using state-of-the-art techniques. We offer opportunities across the Quantitative Equities Research and Quantitative Equities Portfolio Management teams.
Investment Solutionslies at the intersection of various asset classes to offer clients custom-made funds. The Investment Solutions team delivers superior research-driven sustainable strategies and designs innovative solutions that fit clients needs. The team manages assets across multi-asset funds discretionary multi-asset solutions and customized liability and buy-and-maintain fixed income solutions.
Client Portfolio Managementis a linking pin between Investments and Sales sharing insights about Robeco products and assisting with client requests and questions. We offer opportunities to join the Client Portfolio Management team in Fixed Income.
Data Sciencetransforms vast datasets from financial markets and sustainability sources into actionable insights. It uncovers behavioral biases in investment processes develops tools to share these findings and supports investment teams across the organization. We offer opportunities in the (Climate) Data Science team.

Position & Requirements

Your internship begins with an introduction to the company followed by hands-on training sessions to prepare you for the work ahead. From there youll dive into the daily activities of your team gaining real-world experience and contributing directly to ongoing projects.

Examples of previous projects are:

Write a white paper on an emerging technology trend and evaluate which companies are best positioned to benefit from it.
Develop a python model in Bloomberg to identify relative value opportunities on government bond curves
Enhance economic forecasting by improving real-time nowcasting models.
Leverage new alternative data sources to uncover factor premiums.
Analyze the EV supply chain identifying which battery suppliers have strong long-term prospects

Beyond your project work youll take part in social activities weekly training sessions and connect with colleagues across departments to build your professional network.

Internship vacancies at Robeco in Rotterdam are open to students (second year bachelors and higher) enrolled at a university during the first month of their internship. Our interns must also be eligible for a residence permit to do an internship in the Netherlands. This means we can recruit EU citizens studying at a university abroad or non-EU citizens studying at a Dutch university.
