As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio we have five major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.
In this key role you will utilise your comprehensive electrical knowledge to coordinate and plan maintenance activities and improvement initiatives for our manufacturing operations including inspections and monitoring methods detailed planning of work and participating in work scheduling and execution.

What you will do
Deliver ongoing technical guidance and support to the plant maintenance teams and the wider asset management teams across the business youll be responsible for the establishment and continual improvement of our maintenance plan. You will be:
- scheduling maintenance work and performing detailed planning of work
- develop implement and manage detailed shutdown maintenance plans and schedules
- coordinate resources labour and materials for shutdown maintenance projects.
- liaise with contractors and suppliers to attain cost effective methods of execution and delivery of planned work
- coordinate task dependencies and ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with other shutdown operations.
- capture and review of maintenance history to drive maintenance strategy improvement
- analyse prior maintenance work orders to ensure follow up work is captured and actioned
- support alignment of Safety Quality and Plant Critical priorities with key stakeholders
- providing supervision to internal and external resources
- manage and control maintenance spares utilisation refurbishment and/or replenishment
- perform administrative activities such as raising purchase orders invoice management and cost review
More about you
Youll bring your technical skills and experience in maintenance of equipment in continuous production facilities. Youll also bring:
- a electrical trade qualification is preferred Electrical Engineering qualifications with practical experience will also be considered.
- demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling inspections and maintenance of site equipment
- solid experience of SAP including MS Office suite
- experience in determining root cause through investigation processes and tools to recommend informed corrective measures
- highly developed communication and influencing skills - building constructive and effective relationships
