This role is part of Contacts legal team which sits within the Corporate Affairs business unit.
As Senior Legal Counsel you will provide strategically focused-legal services to all business units across Contact and advice on a wide range of legal issues. You will provide pragmatic legal advice and be a trusted advisor to help enable the business to achieve its goals.
Were looking for a Specialist Senior Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Affairs team. Youll play a key part in providing pragmatic effective legal advice across all areas of our business. This is a hands-on role where youll work closely with a variety of people support projects and help shape the way we do things.
What youll do:
- Provide clear practical legal advice to all Contact business units
- Negotiate draft and review contracts
- Support dispute resolution and business-as-usual activities
- Be an active member of project teams offering legal insight and solutions
- Maintain and improve our standard contract templates and legal processes
- Help ensure our governance and compliance activities are robust and effective
- Deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders making sure outputs are meaningful and support decision-making

Youll be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment brings a pragmatic and can-do attitude and enjoys working with a wide range of people and topics. Youre organised adaptable and comfortable managing your own workload. Most importantly youre committed to delivering excellent service and making a real impact through your work.
What youll bring:
- LLB degree and a current practising certificate
- 8 years relevant legal experience
- Knowledge of or interest in the energy sector
- Strong client-service ethic and practical problem-solving skills
