Job Summary

Description

Under the direction of the principal provide supervision for students on the playground and in the cafeteria.

Examples of Duties

Assist and supervise students entering and leaving the cafeteria and while at play on the playground.

Supervise students while in the cafeteria for breakfast or lunch.

May assist in clean up of cafeteria after lunch.

May issue citations to students failing to obey cafeteria or playground rules.

Intervene when needed to keep students safe.

Maintain good rapport with students and staff.

Report pertinent information to teachers or principal.

OTHER DUTIES:
On rainy days may monitor hallways by roving them to insure students are orderly in their classrooms.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.

Examination Information

If your application is accepted to move forward in this recruitment the written exam date is November 17 2025 at 2:00 PM and the oral exam date is December 3 2025.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Positions in the job classification typically work 7.5 - 12 hours/week for 180 student instructional days.


The duration of the eligibility list is 6 months unless extended by the Executive Director of Classified Human Resources and the Personnel Commission.
