Who weare

Located in Culver City ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24hour Emergency services where our technicians encounter all sort of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Add that we have numerous specialty departments and its possible a techs day could involve a Macaw with a broken beak time in one of our many advanced operating rooms watching our Orthopedic Surgeons replace a dogs elbow or operating an MRI. Its a long list of unique experiences best suited to those who absolutely love caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced renowned animal hospital.

This position will support our Bone and Joint Center -

Our Bone & Joint Center offers the forefront of veterinary orthopedic care for dogs and cats. Combining our surgeons expertise cutting-edge resources and the level of care for which ACCESS is known we are the go-to specialty animal hospital on the West Coast for animal orthopedic treatment and care.

As a Veterinary Technician youllplayan important rolein petslives byprovidingend-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care offacilitatingoutpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care advocate for pets and educate clients.
  • With each hospital functionassistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
  • Assistwith surgeries and proceduresin accordance withyour states Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance onThrive Membershipoptions medications andadditionaltreatments.
  • Assistinmaintainingrelevant comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients andmaintainmedical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques follow standard protocols and sustain clean sterile organized treatment areas exam rooms and labs.
  • Be willing to guide mentor and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

* 3 years veterinary assisting / technician experience
* Desire to offer superior patient care

Compensation:
Non Credentialed Assistants$21/hr - $36/hr
Licensed Technicians-$26/hr - $42/hr
VTS- $43 - $45/hr
Pay to be determined by skills assessment
