Job Summary

Are you detail-oriented collaborative and ready to grow your career in finance Join our Cardiff-based Accounting Operations team as a Finance Technician where youll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting continuous improvement across our processes. Whether youre already studying towards a professional qualification or bringing relevant experience we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference.
What youll be doing:
- Preparing and posting daily and monthly Accounting Operations transactions
- Processing same-day and intra-account payments in line with documented procedures
- Reconciling financial data and investigating outstanding items
- Contributing to monthly financial and management accounts preparation
- Supporting the delivery of analytical insights and management information
- Maintaining and updating financial procedure notes
- Identifying and suggesting process improvements
- Collaborating with team members and supporting cross-training initiatives
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- Studying towards or holding a relevant qualification or experience in a finance or investment environment
- Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communicator across different teams and levels
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive approach to improving processes and escalating concerns
