Job Summary
What You Will Do
- Lead structural engineering design and analysis for marine infrastructure such as deep foundations piers harbour walls bulkheads retaining walls and cofferdams.
- Develop high-quality concrete and steel drawings and detailseither manually or using CAD tools.
- Perform structural analyses using SAP2000 or similar finite element software.
- Apply current codes standards and industry best practices to all aspects of design.
- Prepare clear well-structured technical reports and documentation.
- Manage projects effectively ensuring quality client satisfaction and timely delivery.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external geographically distributed teams.
- Engage directly with clients offering thoughtful solutions and maintaining strong relationships.
- Travel occasionally for site visits project meetings and field assignments (typically 12 weeks at a time with some longer opportunities).
Qualifications :
What You Bring
- 12 years of structural engineering experience related to marine infrastructure.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- Demonstrated ability to successfully design and analyze structures as an individual contributor.
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Experience in geotechnical arctic offshore or construction engineering (including familiarity with EnSoft software).
- . Civil Structural or related engineering field.
- Broad interest in marine and coastal engineering.
- Creative problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for collaborating closely with clients.
