Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Heat Pump Development within Bosch Home Comfort Group you will join a growing area focused on the development of electrical solutions the new and improved heating and cooling solutions across Europe essential for a sustainable future.

You will be part of a cross-functional team within an international environment developing heat pump solutions which will be assembled in different Bosch plants around Europe. You will contribute to all phases of product life cycle bringing your innovative ideas and solutions from an early concept definition phase to mass production implementing cost and quality improvements.

Your contribution to something big:

  • Develop new technical concepts functions and innovative solutions for heat pumps with focus on the Low-Price Product Segment;
  • Test heat pumps and components including appliance and interface with the system. Execute analyze and document the results to ensure performance and reliability;
  • Define product requirements considering the entire heating cooling and domestic hot water systems;
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive product technical documentation (reports procedures specifications);
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing products enhancing quality functionality and cost efficiency;
  • Coordinate activities for market introduction including testing certification documentation and production ramp-up;
  • Apply product engineering tools such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) 8D and DRBFM (Design Review Based on Failure Mode) to ensure robustness and quality.

Qualifications :

What distinguishes you: 

Education: 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering Physics Engineering or similar field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in mechanical product development ideally within heat pump HVAC or thermodynamics-related systems;
  • Experience with development tools such as FMEA DFMA or FAM is valued.

Know-how: 

  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration systems;
  • Ability to understand and manage complex system development.

Languages: 

  • Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken.

  • Analytical and organized working style with a problem-solving mindset;
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a results-oriented mindset;
  • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems using structured thinking and initiative;
