This posting is for one hourly position working 12 15 hours per week
Strathcona Countys Utilities department is seeking a Waste Diversion Program Assistant to support the operations of the HodgePodge this role you will take a lead position at the Lodge welcoming and assisting visitors coordinating day-to-day activities and collaborating with volunteers to ensure a positive and organized experience for all.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualificationsand Skills:
High school diploma with related experience engaging groups of people and interacting with the public
Knowledge of Strathcona Countys HodgePodge Lodge and an understanding of its purpose and contribution to the community are considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (outgoing and interactive approach) with the ability to engage and communicate with the public in a positive manner
Ability to work independently multi-task and problem solve
Effective time management skills with the ability to work under time constraints
Conditions of Employment:
Submission of a Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties and stand/walk for extended periods of timeEW1
