Job Summary:
The Research Assistant will support the implementation of evidence-informed practices across LOFTs client-care streams. The Research Assistant will work closely with the Quality and Service Excellence team to assist in data collection analysis and knowledge mobilization that enhances client outcomes and supports continuous improvement.What You Will Do:Research & Evaluation Support- Assist with literature reviews environmental scans and needs assessments to inform program development
- Support the development of logic models theories of change evaluation frameworks data collection tools and other evidence-informed practice activities
- Support the development and implementation of pilot initiatives related to different evidence-informed practice activities (e.g. measurement-based care evaluation)
- Help prepare documentation for the Quality and Service Excellence team including ethics submissions external and internal reporting knowledge mobilization (e.g. conference presentations peer-reviewed journal articles) and grant applications
Data Collection & Analysis- Collect and organize qualitative and quantitative data from various sources including surveys interviews and administrative datasets
- Clean and manage large datasets; assist with variable construction and basic statistical analysis (e.g. descriptive statistics trend analysis)
- Use tools such as Excel SPSS or R to support data analysis and visualization
Implementation & Capacity Building- Assist in the development and implementation of staff training and capacity building related to quality and service excellence
- Support the implementation of enabling infrastructure to foster a strong culture for learning
Knowledge Mobilization- Contribute to the development of accessible research outputs such as summaries infographics and presentations.
- Assist in preparing materials for internal and external stakeholders including community partners.
- Support dissemination activities including newsletters forums and digital platforms.
Quality & Service Excellence- Collaborate with the Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) team to support data governance and accreditation efforts.
- Help maintain documentation and records related to program performance and client outcomes
- Support organizational initiatives that promote a culture of safety equity and continuous learning.
What You Bring:Must Haves- Bachelors degree in Psychology Social Work Public Health Education or a related social science discipline.
- 12 years of experience in a research evaluation or data support role preferably in a community or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with research methods including qualitative quantitative and mixed-methods approaches.
- Basic proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. SPSS R NVivo) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Regular access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel to program sites as needed.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position that will consist of both work- from-home and onsite arrangements. Schedules will bedetermined on a monthly basis and will be determined by program needs.
