Job Summary


This position is responsible for creating maintaining and growing CCBCs existing hospital and non-hospital relationships. Ensures hospital partners desired products and/or service needs are met and/or exceeded by analyzing transfusion practices product availability and service requests. This role is responsible for managing CCBCs blood inventory throughout the Central Valley region by monitoring and adjusting inventory levels for hospitals served and creating stocking rescheduling and transportation schedules. Responsible for stewardship outlets and partnerships and new revenue streams for non-transfusion products cellular therapy opportunities and/or alternate product or service lines. Responsible for managing contracts troubleshooting assuring smooth implementation of any changes to terms and conditions and contracted price changes. Initiates new proposed contracts and manages renewals.


Essential Responsibilities


Manages contracts negotiations of service terms renewals pricing changes etc. for hospital and non-hospital partners.

Responsible for in-person customer service visits to hospitals (and other potential customers) as well as creating and leading specific trainings designed to educate inform and/or implement various programs and/or products.

Creates new revenue stream opportunities outside of traditional core services/products (cellular therapy opportunities therapeutic IRL etc.).

Handles all customer interactions complaints and provides solutions customer issue closure and positive outcomes by working collaboratively with various departments throughout the organization (Hospital Services Donor Services Recruitment Quality Finance etc.).

Conducts annual hospital satisfaction surveys.

Monitors inventory levels throughout all CCBC locations and all hospital facilities to ensure hospitals have access to products while being good stewards of the blood supply.

Analyzes and adjusts hospital inventories deliveries returns etc. to drive stewardship practices while ensuring positive hospital outcomes.

Serves as an internal resource providing guidance to Donor Services and Recruitment departments regarding the collection and recruitment of the right type of blood products to meet patient demand through frequent production planning meetings.

Uses industry connections and information to determine blood resource sharing opportunities in consideration of CCBCs inventory levels.

Ensures all products that are not suitable for transfusion find alternate uses and revenue opportunities.

Serves as CCBC liaison between hospital blood bank management and hospital system purchasing contacts.

Provides CCBC product and service updates to customers.

Ensures all contracts for services are completed in a timely manner and that no contract expires without closure between CCBC and/or the hospital.

Tracks and reports on product and service usage as well as revenue statistics for each hospital.

Creates annual business summary reports for every full-service hospital that contain usage information product utilization and expiration data.

Stays knowledgeable with opportunities that arise through ABC BCA and AABB news local and regional news and other sources to find new business leads.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills


Education/Licenses/Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance Marketing Healthcare Administration or similar.
  • At least four years of experience in healthcare administration blood banking medical sales or a similar type of business.
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office 365 programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator and able to empathize and persuade customers and peers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and a high level of self-accountability.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • Must have a valid California drivers licene and a clean driving history with no major violations in the last five years.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (e.g. desk work meetings)
  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing writing using a mouse and operating standard office equipment
  • Close vision for reading reports screens documents spreadsheets and emails.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • The travel required for this position is 10-15%.
