About Career & Professional Development
Career & Professional Development (CPD) empowers students and alumni to explore prepare for and pursue meaningful careers through personalized guidance experiential learning and employer engagement. Its purpose is to bridge academic experiences with professional opportunities fostering lifelong career success and industry connections. CPD is one of five offices on campus providing career development services to a wide community of DU students and alumni. CPD serves all the undergraduate programs (except the Daniels College of Business) College of Professional Studies multiple graduate programs and alumni not served by the other career services offices on campus.
About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Associate Director Graduate Career Development the Career Advisor Graduate Career Development provides direct comprehensive career services for graduate students and first-year alumni. The Career Advisor is the primary liaison to graduate STEM degrees and programs including the Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science (RSECS) College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics (CNSM) and STEM programs in the College of Professional Studies (PCS). The Career Advisor will develop and support strategic initiatives with career curriculum integration including working with the faculty and staff to integrate career education into classes and college-specific programming. As an outward-facing role this position will also include presenting career education concepts in classes for student organizations 4D Experience initiatives and other similar requests from units across campus. The position requires using data-informed practices to increase student engagement in career development thereby contributing to DUs bold goals of increasing positive student outcomes at graduation.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In accordance with the Universitys flexible work policy this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 8.
Hourly Range:
The hourly range for this position is $25.54 - $29.63.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
