Our client is a leading privately held and growing manufacturer that provides innovative solutions to a wide variety of clients within the packaging this controls engineering role you will be responsible for full spectrum controls engineering tasks from concept to hand off to the production floor.

- Based in suburban Chicago with a growing manufacturing footprint
Position Overview
- Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
- Design develop and program PLC HMI and motion controls from scratch
- Develop new electrical designs for both standard and custom equipment
- Oversee project panel builds and if required build electrical panels from the ground up
- Develop and set up vision systems for applications such as angle detection orientation detection and feature detection using various tools
- Develop plans and schedules for projects while interacting with customers
- Prepare operator manuals user manuals and other project documentation as needed
- Ability to travel periodically up to 30% of the time for startups installations and to resolve field issues
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years experience of automation and controls engineering
- Proficiency programming Allen Bradley controls
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
