Hotel Sales Manager
Position Type: Full-Time Exempt
Salary Range: Starting at $50000-$60000 annually bonus potential
Reports To: Director of Sales / General Manager
Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales initiatives building relationships with clients and securing event and guest room bookings. This individual will play a key role in achieving and exceeding sales targets by generating leads closing deals and ensuring a high standard of service throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and qualify leads for group room blocks events and meetings
- Meet or exceed individual and property-level sales goals
- Conduct effective sales presentations and property tours for prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements with clients
- Coordinate and communicate with the internal team to ensure seamless event execution
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales contracts proposals and reports
- Maintain organized records of client communications and transactions
- Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to leadership
- Promote hotel programs packages and special offers to clients
- Collect and process deposits and final payments from clients
- Visit and follow up with existing and prospective clients to foster strong relationships
- Stay up to date on competitor activity market trends and local events
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hospitality sales or a related customer-facing role is strongly preferred
- Highly motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Professional in demeanor with a focus on customer service and client satisfaction
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel Outlook)
- A positive attitude team mindset and willingness to learn are highly valued
