Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Faculty Affairs the FA Employment Analyst performs a variety of temporary faculty hiring transactions for summer term employment lecturers teaching associates (TAs) graduate assistants (GAs) Instructional Student Assistants (ISAs) librarians and coaches; range elevations additional employment separations and other faculty affairs processes as assigned. The FA Employment Analyst is also the customer service liaison for colleges and departments for appointments and compensation guidance.

Ability to interpret and apply CSU policies and procedures relative to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ability to investigate analyze and anticipate problems and address them proactively. Ability to take initiative and independently plan organize coordinate and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
Skill in the research and application of policies including skill in the collection evaluation and interpretation of related data. Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to collaborative processes. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to work on competing priorities. Knowledge of fundaments of Human Resource practices. Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR Processes reports and Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelors degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.
Masters degree preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with academic personnel processes.
Experience with lnterfolio software.
Experience with PeopleSoft HR.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4799 (Step 1) - $5195 (Step #5) per month commensurate with candidates education experience skills and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4799 (Step 1) - $6992 (Step 20) per month.

Duration of Appointment
