Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Observation Unit)

Schedule: 4x12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Block Scheduling: Not Available
Local Radius: Must reside 75 miles from the facility
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Observation Unit. This fast-paced unit operates as a bridge between the Emergency Department and inpatient units managing patients requiring additional testing treatment or monitoring prior to discharge or admission.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment possess strong critical thinking skills and be capable of managing a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring observation ongoing evaluation and treatment.
Collaborate closely with the Emergency Department and dedicated observation physicians to ensure continuity of care.
Monitor and interpret telemetry readings vital signs and laboratory results.
Administer medications perform treatments and maintain accurate documentation.
Respond to rapid changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment.
Coordinate discharge planning and communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary teams.
Maintain compliance with all safety infection control and regulatory standards.
