Software Engineer

Permanent

Grade C

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

As a team member of the Software Development Practice at the council you will be accountable for creating and updating digital solutions that assist the organisation in serving its constituents. You will thrive in collaborative teams utilising agile methodologies to produce solutions that aid the council in providing quality services to the public.

What you will do:

  • Design develop and test high quality digital solutions.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Design read and understand technical and business requirements.
  • Work with external partners.
  • Proactive engagement in the full development lifecycle including source code control and release management.

The Essential Skills You Need (a combination of the following)

  • SQL
  • JavaScript
  • Source Code Control Systems (e.g. GitHub)
    Development
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • M365 Platform
  • RPA (especially UiPath)
  • NetCall Liberty Create
  • Unified Functional Testing

The desirable skills you should possess:

  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft Cloud Services
  • Chat and Voice Automation
