Ogden Community School District is seeking an Assistant Drama Coach for the 2025-26 school year.

Description:
The Assistant Drama Coach supports the planning preparation and production of Ogden High Schools annual spring play. This is a part-time role during the spring semester ideal for individuals passionate about theater education and mentoring high school students. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Drama Director to guide students in all aspects of performance and stage production helping create a memorable experience for both cast and audience.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Drama Director in auditions rehearsals and production planning.
Support student actors with line delivery blocking and character development.
Lead select rehearsals as directed including scene work or performance workshops.
Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding schedules expectations and performance details.
Help oversee set changes props and backstage organization during rehearsals and performances.
Foster a positive inclusive and encouraging environment where students can grow in confidence and creativity.
Collaborate with the production team (director technical crew set design etc.) to ensure a smooth cohesive production.
Supervise students to maintain safety and professionalism during rehearsals and performances.
Assist with administrative duties such as script distribution attendance tracking program materials or publicity efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience in theater performance direction or education preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Enthusiasm for working with high school students in a creative team-oriented setting.

Time Commitment:
January April. Hours vary based on the rehearsal schedule and include after-school hours and weekend rehearsals/performances.
