Description

Insurance companies are contacted to obtain insurance verification and pre-certification for all surgeries EMG/NCS Visco-supplemental injections and DME.

Enters benefit information and pre-certification authorization into guarantor notes in ECW and routes the order to billing department.

Maintains a working knowledge of Medicare commercial insurance plans etc.

Schedules and reviews patients estimated co-pay co-insurance or deductibles for Visco-supplemental injections once approved.

Answers phones and provides routing information to callers.

Requirements

Minimum of six months in a physician office setting performing precertification functions.
