DescriptionThe HRIS Specialist III supports the configuration maintenance and enhancement of the organizations HR information systems to ensure efficient HR and payroll processes. This role requires hands-on experience in HR systems strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex issues independently. The Specialist III partners with HR Payroll and IT to provide reliable system support reporting and process improvements while building readiness for larger project ownership and leadership responsibilities.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employees will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What youll do
- Configure and maintain core HRIS modules to support HR payroll and talent management processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems through regular audits reconciliations and data quality checks.
- Document and maintain process workflows user guides and training materials to support system users.
- Troubleshoot system issues perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with IT or vendors for resolution.
- Participate in HRIS projects upgrades and new functionality rollouts; contribute to testing and impact assessments.
- Provide standard and ad hoc reports to HR and business partners using system queries and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and automation within existing HR processes.
- Act as a subject matter resource for assigned modules (e.g. Oracle HCM JD Edwards) and provide user support.
- Stay current on system updates releases and HRIS best practices; recommend enhancements where appropriate.
What youll bring
- Bachelors degree in a relevant subject area (HR IT Economics or Mathematics preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with large-scale Human Capital Management and Payroll systems specifically JD Edwards & Oracle HCM.
- Experience implementing and running HR technology programs including change management and communications.
- Experience building reports defining requirements and understanding how information is organized. Experience diagnosing and resolving complex HRIS issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and HR reporting tools.
- Ability to document processes clearly and provide end-user support.
- Effective collaboration skills; able to work across HR Payroll and IT teams.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
- Eagerness to learn advanced configuration integrations and project leadership
