Description

Eikon Research is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a long-term career opportunity onsite at their Huntsville AL location. The Mechanical Engineer role is diverse and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Working with other system / RF engineers to design and develop models for new mechanical assemblies plan cabling (selection routing bulkheads) and source parts for different sub-assemblies.
Procurement of mechanical assemblies including vendor engagement drawing preparation and verification
Develop acceptance procedures for vendor hardware assemblies.
Assembly of and assessment of prototypes for new hardware assemblies.
Maintenance of the system bill of materials and configuration management.
Creating and reviewing documentation including drawings for technical data packages work instructions thermal modeling / simulation results and other data products.
Participating in Agile development practices including daily stand ups sprint planning and reviews.

Requirements

Minimum Candidate Requirements

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen

Candidate must be willing to work in-office when performing hardware integration and testing is required.

Candidate must have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

Candidate must have 3 months of experience with the following:

Design engineering ideally within DoD aerospace or defense contracting environments.
Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Creo NX).

Desired Knowledge Skills Abilities

A background in the design of military systems is preferred.
