Tasks
About the Role
In this role you will be working as part of a small and diverse product management and development team to oversee all activities relating to the research design and rollout of functionality for Corals Reporting Component. The Reporting component is used primarily by Middle Office users to calculate results for end-of-day reporting and real-time position. The results generated by the advanced reporting engine can then be visualised via embedded Power BI or sent to a customers data warehouse / -lake.
You will use your significant experience in commodity risk management and interactions with Previse clients to develop a vision and execute on a product doing so you will oversee an assigned development team facilitate knowledge transfer of the component and maintain a set of related master data. You will also work closely with other Product Owners Customer Support and Development teams to resolve issues and improve the user experience within the Reporting component and hand-offs to other components.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate and champion the product vision both internally and externally
- Oversee the design development and rollout of Reporting functionality
- Manage priorities on the Reporting component roadmap in direct engagement with customer risk managers
- Work with assigned QA resources to develop adequate test coverage of Reporting features
- Work with the Master Data team to maintain related master data
- Routinely maintain product artefacts
- Engage with Product Owners Customer Support Development teams and (potential-) Customers on answering product questions resolving issues etc.
- Complete requisite monthly pre- and post-release activities
- Create functional product requirements for each new feature
- Continuously improve product documentation
- Engage with the Services Team who are implementing the software
- Present new features directly to the customers of Previse
Requirements
About You
You have a bachelors or masters degree. You are a team player who works well under pressure and who likes to challenge yourself by working with highly experienced and talented individuals. You are open-minded and like to work with both internal developers as well as businesspeople from the customer side.
You also have:
- A thorough understanding of risk management concepts (including MTM PnL Explain Value at Risk and Exposure) and valuation methodologies of physical and financial instruments
- Experience using and/or implementing ETRM systems
- A knack for balancing competing demands and priorities
- An ability to convert complex business topics into stories/tasks and communicate them to business and technical counterparts
- Previously thrived in a fast-paced environment where priorities often changed
- An ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and find win-win solutions
- A track record of delivering high-quality results meeting and exceeding expectations
