Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Labor Delivery Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) unit is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both mother and baby throughout all phases of obstetric care. This includes patient assessment medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires flexibility to assist with tasks that all nurses can perform and proficiency in using Epic charting system.
Location:Polson Montana United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to both mother and baby in all phases of OB care.
- Perform patient assessments.
- Administer medications.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist with tasks that all nurses can perform.
- Document patient care in Epic.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- NRP certification.
- Clinical Assessment Medication Administration and Treatment Planning skills
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field
- Minimum 2 years of hospital home health or hospice care experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Not specified.
Special Considerations:
- This is a LDRP position requiring care for both baby and mom.
- Flexing to other units to assist with tasks all nurses can perform.
Scheduling:
- Weekends are required.
- Variable shifts.
- 48-hour shifts may be approved.
- Expected ratios: 1:1 1:2 1:4
