Job Summary
Primary title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Industry & Sector: Travel Tourism & Hospitality operations and asset management across vehicle fleets guest properties and service infrastructure. We maintain safe efficient mechanical systems that support customer-facing experiences and back-of-house operations. This is a remote role supporting India-wide operations with periodic field/vendor site visits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation drawings and specifications for mechanical assets (vehicles HVAC pumps MEP equipment) using CAD tools.
- Design review and optimise preventive and corrective maintenance programs; create SOPs and maintenance checklists to reduce downtime and lifecycle cost.
- Provide remote engineering oversight for vendor selection performance evaluation and technical scope for repairs retrofits and new installs.
- Analyse failure modes and perform root cause investigations; recommend engineering changes and spare-part strategies to improve reliability.
- Support procurement by preparing technical bid documents evaluating technical proposals and validating compliance with specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with operations safety and finance teams to prioritise CAPEX/OPEX monitor asset KPIs and drive continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications & Experience (Must-Have)
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience supporting mechanical asset fleets or hospitality/site operations with ability to work remotely and travel for site audits across India.
Preferred
- ANSYS or FEA familiarity
- ISO 9001 / quality systems knowledge
- Experience with fleet maintenance or hospitality MEP projects
