PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Intern will support the maintenance team in ensuring the technical operability safety and efficiency of production facilities. This includes mechanical electronic and pneumatic systems with a focus on quality trust and security.
- To ensure the technical operability of production facilities.
- Repair maintenance and servicing of production facilities in particular card personalization systems and inserting machines as well as tools in the field of electronic mechanics and pneumatics.
- Independent fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Planning and execution of regular maintenance and servicing work as well as safety inspections.
- Documentation of maintenance and repair work carried out.
- Willingness to work in flexible working time models.
- Working accordance with set bodies (PCI /ISO/CQM etc).
- Additionally responsible to further develop and implement long-term solutions to improve department and responsible for production efficiency with maintenance as the focus point.
- Maintain spare parts inventory levels.
- To also ensure that their job goals are completed by striving for Quality Trust and Security at all times.
To be considered for this role under the Yes4Youth Learnership program the following requirements are non-negotiable
- Ideal candidates should be unemployed at the time of contracting.
- Must qualify as Youth candidates and therefore must be between the age of 18 34 (Must not be turning 35 during the program)
- Must meet the definition of Black People as defined in the Broad-Based Black Empowerment Act 53 of 2003 as amended by Act 46 of 213.
- Must not have previously participated in a Yes4Youth program.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electro-Mechanical qualification (or Equivalent).
- Experience with Matica/Data card systems is a plus.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year or less experience in a Warehouse or similar role. Internship or learnership experience will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE SKILL & ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong presenting skills and documentation skills.
- Is computer literate and efficient in MS Office Excel and Outlook
