Product Developer Associate (Temporary Contract)

About the Role

In partnership with the Ariat MX Development Team this role ensures the timely and effective processing of samples across all stages from Pull Over to Approval. It communicates and works closely with all Ariat factories to provide clear information on sample manufacturing reviews initial design concepts to make visual or development improvements when needed and maintains continuous contact with local factories to follow progress and report any issues that could delay samples. Together with the local factory it solves problems in planning prioritizing and evaluating results to ensure all samples are delivered on time and meet brand requirements for visual details measurements fitting quality and margins. It also collaborates with internal teams and seeks opportunities to improve processes and explore new footwear trends materials and manufacturing techniques.

• In partnership with Ariat Mx Development Team ensure timely and effective process of the samples across all the timeline from Pull Over to Approval samples stages.
• Communicate service and work closely with all Ariat Factories to provide clear information related on samples manufacturing.
• Review initial design concepts and make development or visual improvements in case its needed.
• It is in continuous contact with local factory to solve follow and get information about samples progress. Provides constant feedback to Ariat MX Development Team about any situation that can delay or possible causes to hold the samples.
• Along with the local factory solve problems that arise in planning setting priorities organizing directing/facilitating actions and evaluating results.
• Ensure all the samples be delivered on time complying with the characteristics requested by the brand in terms of visual details measurement standards fitting performance quality and margin expectations. Test and verify samples against a pre-defined set of criteria at all stages of the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate develop and maintain effective communication with internal partners (Head Technician Costing Materials Supply Chain and Production/Quality) to obtain necessary information to resolve issues as necessary and to enable joint problem solving to achieve better products.
• Constantly seek out opportunities on latest footwear trends materials manufacturing processes and techniques: collect and analyze capabilities or futures opportunities to improve process or new ideas.

About You

• College degree and above.
• At least 10 years of experience in footwear Design or experience in the merchandising of Footwear.
• Knowledge of footwear production process product development resource of supplier and footwear manufacturer.
• Teamwork Curiosity creative thinking as well as learning mindset.
• Forward thinking open minded curious to learn and try different ideas. Continuous improvement mindset cross function communication and cooperation.
