The Role

Were hiring a Senior Full-Stack Developer (Backend-Focused) to help build and scale the next generation of Boostlys platform powering the future of restaurant marketing through world-class engineering.

Youll be part of a small fast-moving team tackling complex backend challenges from designing scalable APIs and optimizing database performance to integrating AI and advanced messaging technologies. Youll balance technical execution with mentorship and architectural influence helping us transition from make it work to make it great.

Success in this role means delivering reliable elegant systems that scale effortlessly as Boostly grows from hundreds to thousands of customers all while keeping performance quality and user experience top of mind.

This is a full-time in-person role based in our Lehi Utah office.

What Youll Do

• Design build and scale robust backend systems using Express and PostgreSQL.

• Architect and maintain high-performance APIs that power our core platform and integrations.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver seamless full-stack features using React and modern front-end frameworks.

• Set engineering best practices for code quality testing and deployment.

• Mentor other developers and help shape our technical culture as we grow.

• Identify and solve bottlenecks in performance scalability and reliability.

• Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted development tools that boost velocity and quality.

• Continuously improve our DevOps pipelines and infrastructure in collaboration with the engineering team.

What Were Looking For

Must-Haves:

• 2-4 years of full-stack development experience with a strong focus on backend systems or equivalent experience.

• Deep proficiency in Express and PostgreSQL.

• Solid understanding of API design database architecture and system scalability.

• Experience with React or other front-end frameworks.

• Proven track record of shipping production-grade software that scales.

• Pragmatic product-oriented mindset you prioritize solving customer problems over technical perfection.

• Ability to work in-person and collaborate closely in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with TypeScript AWS or containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with messaging loyalty or marketing technology systems.

• Prior experience scaling systems from startup to growth stage.

• Passion for leveraging AI as a force multiplier in development workflows.

• Background mentoring engineers or leading small teams.
