We would love to have you join our dynamic team of demand planners. You (along with your peers) would own the demand forecast for a key category within BICs North American division. Your analytical chops and ability to work cross-functionally would be a great asset to the Demand Planning team and our ever-growing company!
WhatYoullDo:
Create and/ormaintainforecasting modelsfor each item in your respective categoryleveraginginsights from your customers and consumer behavior to driveoverallforecast accuracyand deliveryoftargets.
Leading the forecast collaboration process with Sales teams to provide a forecast for lower-level forecast alignmentas well as total category consensus.
Leading category performanceassessmentsidentifyingtrending behaviors within theportfolioand bringing together the proper teams and insights to drive actionable improvements in the forecast.
Prepare and lead the categorydemand plan overviewwithin the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processmaintainingclear assumptionswith risks andopportunities to helpbusinessmanage performance.
Maintain all master data for items within the category profile ensuringforecast visibility and assessments can beaccuratelymonitored.
Reviewing system generated statistical forecast for account levelskuinconsistencies and adjusting across the planning horizon byutilizingcustomer prior shipments POS data knowledge of business unit trends and upcoming promotions to guide decision making.
Ensuringall key assumptions andbusiness driving actions aremaintainedin the forecasting horizon of 18-24months including promotions events POGsdiscontinuedand new products.
Problem solving the highest causes of error by researching errordeterminingroot cause and driving for improvement.
Supporting growth and innovation as a thought leaderondevelopingmonitoring andchanging ofthe demand plan.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating as a change agent working collaboratively with the supply chain teams/ sales on priority initiatives thatoptimizeservice inventory and cost for the total value chain.
Identifiesopportunities for improvement makes constructive suggestions for change anddrivefor results.
The right candidate will need to build and manage relationships with sales Marketingcustomersplanning and supply chain.
Processlarge amountsof data and deliver a concise recommendation. Communicate at various organizational levels and back-up thoughts with facts.
WhatYoullHave:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Demand Planning
Individual that is strong math and has excellent analytical skills
You preferably have worked in theConsumer PackagedGoods industry
Comfortable in working with large data sets
Good at adapting to different IT systems and are particularly advanced in Excel (pivots lookups formulas)
You have used JDA/Blue YonderManugisticsPowerBI or syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) is preferred
Seeking an independent thinker/autonomous worker; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
