At IAMSM we are seeking aResearch Professor to drive our scientific and technological development strengthening key areas that address future challenges. This role aims to generate a significant impact on industry and society enhancing the institutes scientific reputation. We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
Candidate Requirements and Profile
Academic Background:
- PhD in Materials Science Advanced Manufacturing or related fields.
Professional Experience:
- Proven ability tosecure external fundingand focus oncommercializing research outcomes.
- Experience leading high-impact research projects.
- Internationalization:Experience in doctoral or postdoctoral stays at recognized universities or research centers is highly valued.
- For Tecnológico de Monterrey alumni: a minimum of 3 years of research abroad or at prestigious universities.
Scientific Output:
- Productivity equivalent toSNI Level II.
- At least10 years of research experienceand over100 scientific publicationsin their specialty.
Areas of Specialization
The ideal candidate will contribute to the following areas:
Research Line:
- Hydrogen production and energy storage using advanced materials derived from untapped resources (e.g. waste biomass non-commercial minerals).
Development Areas:
- Catalytic materials electrochemistry and technologies for energy storage.
- Design of advanced systems such as electrolyzers electrodes and supercapacitors.
- Application of digital technologies in materials research.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Partnerships with fields like manufacturing accelerated materials discovery and artificial intelligence to maximize research impact.
