The impact youll make:

Step into a pivotal role as Account Director on Softchoices federal sales team where you will shape and execute high-impact business strategies across the Department of National Defence (DND) and its ecosystem partners. As a strategic driver youll collaborate with cross-functional teams at Softchoice and World Wide Technology to transform innovative ideas into measurable business outcomes. This position empowers you to champion Softchoices end-to-end vision for our customers navigate complex market dynamics and set the pace in a competitive landscape. Youll inspire and develop a high-performing team foster executive-level relationships and lead with purpose to expand market share and accelerate profitable growth.

What youll be doing:

• Drive and develop a high performing team for the CAF and National Defense business by creating breakthrough sales strategies and plans
• Identifying opportunities for large engagements (complex solutions) and developing relevant pursuit strategies.

• Drive profitable revenue generation across products and services consistently delivering strong revenue results.
• Amplify Softchoices influence by aligning our solutions with the core mission of the DND
• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with DND defense contractors and OEM partners to unlock new opportunities.
• Transform ideas into measurable value for National Defence guiding initiatives from concept to successful outcome.
• Architect and lead comprehensive selling strategies leveraging market research and deep insights into DNDs mission requirements and technology trends to create both short- and long-term plans.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to foster relationships and drive business growth

What youll bringing to the table:

• Strategic Business Planning: Demonstrating significant knowledge of Softchoice and the Canadian federal government; developing strategies that leverage our core strengths and those of the cross functional team.
• Consulting & Partnering: Helping external clients and partners (OEMs) to understand their business needs offering advice and solutions and operating from a position of expertise balanced with a collaborative approach.
• Industry Relevancy: Adding value by proactively identifying opportunities that align with desired DND mission outcomes conveying a firm understanding of DNDs objectives and political drivers displaying executive presence by building rapport and credibility effectively influencing other people to accept a solution; clearly connecting solutions to Department objectives.
• Critical Thinking: Identifying and understanding issues problems and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to address sales challenges and new opportunities; taking courses of action based on sound analysis and judgment that appropriately consider customer and partner (OEM) business capabilities and issues available facts constraints competitive circumstances and probable consequences.
• Building Influential Relationships: Working collaboratively with customers partners (OEMs) and cross functional team members to meet business goals and objectives; using appropriate communication methods to influence others and establish relationships.
• Business and Financial Acumen: Understanding basic business financial strategies performance indicators and applying that knowledge to clients economic and buying environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Location & Security: Must be based in the National Capital Region and eligible to obtain federal security clearance; candidates with current Secret-level clearance or higher are strongly preferred.
• Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degrees are highly valued.
• Federal Sales Expertise: Minimum of 10 years experience in federal sales including at least 5 years working directly with the Department of National Defence.
• Strategic Account Management: Demonstrated success managing large complex accounts with multiple business streams leveraging cross-functional teams and delivering innovative solutions to solve sophisticated customer challenges.
