Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to join our corporate legal team. This position will be primarily focused on ensuring the companys compliance with professional licensing requirements across the United States. This position will closely collaborate with our other corporate paralegals and attorneys as well as various groups across the company including our business units corporate tax corporate treasury and litigation teams.

This will be a remote/virtual telecommute position and can be based from anywhere in the US.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing the processing maintenance and renewal of state professional licenses
  • Coordinating with internal clients to determine necessary professional licenses identifying responsible individuals and complying with guidelines and procedures
  • Coordinating with and managing external vendors as it relates to professional licensing renewals
  • Preparing various corporate documents including director and shareholder resolutions secretary certificates and a variety of other legal documents
  • Support attorneys and legal staff as needed

  • Excellent judgment with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Practical team player with the ability to professionally collaborate in a results-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capacity to problem solve and implement solutions under time-sensitive circumstances collaboratively or independently and take initiative before issues arise
  • Ability to deal with multistate regulatory agencies and state licensing departments
  • Effectively work in a highly confidential environment with the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
  • Ability to build trust and effective working relationships across various teams and groups

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree plus at least 2 years of relevant corporate paralegal experience at a firm and/or corporation or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience with MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with legal entity data platforms (CT CSC)
  • Knowledge of and experience with state professional licensing practices (contractors architectural and engineering) or similar licensing experience
  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
