As a Medior Data Scientist - Logistics Optimization you will:
- Design build and deploy data science and optimization algorithms to enhance logistics operations such as efficiently grouping store orders optimizing order picking and ensuring products are transported sustainably
- Leverage cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines to continuously integrate and deploy scalable and robust solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to translate complex data insights into practical solutions that improve overall efficiency
- Effectively communicate complex ideas to various audiences from technical teams to business stakeholders
- Work in multidisciplinary product teams to tackle real-world logistics challenges
- Share your expertise and coach other team members
Were looking for candidates who have:
- A Masters degree in Computer Science Applied Mathematics Operations Research or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience and interest)
- An understanding of Operations Research and algorithms such as local search preferably with experience applying them in logistics or a related field
- A pragmatic hands-on approach to problem-solving with a focus on getting things done
- A focus on developing robust maintainable software instead of only experimenting with algorithms in notebooks
- A willingness to actively collaborate through code reviews pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Proficiency in Python and the Python data science ecosystem
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience with modern software development practices (IDEs Unit Testing Version Control CI/CD)
- Knowledge of or interest in learning a systems programming language (such as C or Rust) is a big plus
