Full Time live-out Nanny required for a Park Slope family with an infant son (b. 2025) starting December 1 2025. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family but in general you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their son in an engaging safe and age-appropriate way. To be successful you will need to be organized gentle mannered patient and looking to partner with parents who value mutual respect and good communication. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who has energy (and proven experience) for long days and loves spending time outdoors and exploring the diversity of the city.
Both parents work long hours in the medical field with changing schedules - candidates who can adapt to the evolving needs of their busy home are essential including flexibility with overall schedule and willingness to chip in and support the smooth running of the home. The family is looking for a long term commitment with a candidate who feels like a natural extension of their family and who will be welcomed into a warm and happy home!
Location: Park Slope Brooklyn NY (fantastic location easy commute playgrounds/Prospect Park within walking distance)
Start date: no later than December 1 2025
Days/times: General expected schedule will be 6am - 6pm; Monday through Friday with consistent 60 hours per week. Ramp up hours of guaranteed 40 hours a week will be in place for early 2026 as Mom returns to her regular work schedule. Some flexibility for additional hours and occasional weekends is required - determined by the parents changing work / on call hours. No current travel is expected with this role however occasional domestic or international travel should be expected in the future.
Children: One son (born June 2025)
Conditions: $25 - $30 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee all hours over 40hr paid at x1.5 rate) plus unlimited monthly metrocard sick/personal days public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate.

- Authorization to work in the US
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with families with young children
- A well-suited demeanor recent experience working with infants
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills reliability punctuality and high emotional intelligence
- Ability to complete light housekeeping duties (laundry meal preparation organization etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state
- Experience in partnering supporting parents with infant and toddler milestones
- Education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy dual working parent household in Brooklyn
- Comfortable with pets - family has a 60lb boxer-pit-sharpei mix who is a very quiet sweet and gentle dog. The family has a dog walker in place with no specific pet duties expected.
